Rockingham County Nursing Home is committed to providing preventative and restorative care to all residents. The physical, emotional, spiritual, and psychological needs are addressed by qualified medical, nursing and supportive allied health care professionals. These needs are identified in each resident's specific plan of care. Through a comprehensive assessment and approach, the staff will endeavor to achieve and maintain the maximum potential of each resident. A safe, comfortable, home-like environment, influenced by the resident's individual needs and preferences is provided with careful recognition of each resident's rights regarding confidentiality, safety, spirituality, and quality of life. At all times the resident's wishes are interwoven throughout the care plan. Many of the activities and events at the nursing home are centered in our four season atrium. Family oriented holiday events, guest musical and artistic performances as well as simple periods of quiet and park-like relaxation are a part of the atrium's life. Other amenities for residents include numerous recreational and other activities which can take place on the campus or in the community. Transportation is provided for field trips.
Residents can attend services in the chapel
The nursing home
has an on-site hair salon
and multi-denominational chapel as well as a snack bar and gift shop. Residential programs are abundant and include an extensive arts and crafts program as well as an active greenhouse for residents who like to garden.
An on-site greenhouse is one of their many activities available to residents of the Rockingham County Nursing Home.
